Psychiatric Nursing Assistant

Job Title
Job duties include:
- Processing patients for admission by searching belongings for contraband, obtaining inpatient/outpatient records, preparing patient charts with proper forms, and assigning beds.
- Taking patient vital signs and documenting in EMR.
- Collecting information from personal interviews, medical records, medical personnel, and any other concerned person to obtain a thorough clinical history.
- Providing assistance, security, and patient comfort.
- Assisting in coordinating activities and encouraging participation by patients.
- Maintaining accountability of patients during outdoor activities, meals, and other activities.
- Escorting patients safely on and off the unit; knowing the patient management procedures for elopement risks.
