Psychiatric Nursing Assistant

Job Title

Job duties include:

Processing patients for admission by searching belongings for contraband, obtaining inpatient/outpatient records, preparing patient charts with proper forms, and assigning beds.
Taking patient vital signs and documenting in EMR.
Collecting information from personal interviews, medical records, medical personnel, and any other concerned person to obtain a thorough clinical history.
Providing assistance, security, and patient comfort.
Assisting in coordinating activities and encouraging participation by patients.
Maintaining accountability of patients during outdoor activities, meals, and other activities.
Escorting patients safely on and off the unit; knowing the patient management procedures for elopement risks.
