Job TitleJob DescriptionJob DetailsResponsibilities:Establishes/monitors the department's quality control policies and ensures documentation of all quality control activities, instrument, and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed. Ensures that departmental supplies are stocked and well maintained.Correlates laboratory methods, procedures, and patient test results with age-specific population criteria and demonstrates appropriate understanding of the needs of patients and visitors for each specific age group. Addresses safety and psychological needs in planning or delivering careEstablishes and implements service priorities, workflow patterns; monitors workflow to assure prompt and efficient delivery of services.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited schoolLicensed under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory TechnologistKnowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood ban, and/or microbiology preferredHospital experience desiredMust work weekends and holidays as scheduledGood oral and written communication skills essential.Posted Salary RangeUSD $53.95 - USD $76.36 /Hr.This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
