Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 annually (DOE)

Schulte Staffing Solutions is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator for a direct-hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company in Franklin, NH. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-focused professional who is passionate about workplace health, environmental compliance, and building a strong culture of safety within a manufacturing environment.

The EHS Coordinator will support the development, implementation, and day-to-day management of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs while helping ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and coordination of all plant EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct daily safety walks, inspections, and audits throughout production and support areas.
• Assist with Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), behavior-based safety initiatives, and risk reduction activities.
• Participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action tracking.
• Maintain EHS documentation, training records, and compliance files.
• Assist with OSHA, EPA, and state regulatory compliance efforts.
• Coordinate environmental programs including waste management, stormwater, air emissions, and recycling initiatives.
• Deliver and support employee safety training across all shifts.
• Support Safety Committee activities and continuous improvement projects.
• Track and report safety metrics, inspections, near misses, and corrective actions.
• Assist with emergency response planning, drills, and preparedness efforts.
• Conduct PPE assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and hazard identification activities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical training in Safety, Environmental Science, Manufacturing, or a related field (bachelor's degree preferred but not required).
• 1–3 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and influence employees at all levels of the organization.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Certifications

• OSHA 30 Certification
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
• OSHA 10
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
• Other safety-related certifications are highly desirable.

Work Environment

This position operates in both office and manufacturing environments. Employees may be exposed to machinery, noise, temperature variations, and other industrial conditions while performing duties on the production floor.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to access and navigate production areas as needed.
