IT Project Manager - Limited Tenure

This position is Limited Tenure. Limited Tenure (LT) means that if you are offered the position and accept it: * You will be categorized as a regular employee during this tenure, but employment will be terminated at the established end date. * You committed to stay in this position until the end of the tenure (approximately 24 months from date of hire) before you become eligible to transfer to a new position. * After the completion of the limited tenure assignment, it is your responsibility to secure another role within Mayo through the job vacancy process or employment will be ended upon the completion of the limited tenure assignment. Leads projects of medium to high complexity, and may also support to projects of high complexity, as part of a program team in collaboration with a Senior Project Manager and/or Program Manager. Responsible to achieve project objectives and completion on time, on budget, and in conformance to Mayo Clinic IT methodologies and practices. Solicits technological input from senior technical resources assigned to their project team(s), and facilitates technology problem-solving activities. Manages projects with budget responsibility up to $1 million, and may require matrix supervision of staff from other IT departments and divisions, and contractor/vendor resources. Contingent upon the project, may present project requests to institutional committees and oversight bodies to receive approval and project direction and input. May support senior level project/program managers in strategic planning processes. Makes judgments and takes reasonable and prudent actions to accomplish agreed upon project objectives under minimal direct supervision. Advises other IT staff regarding project management practices, methods and standards. Routinely demonstrates the Project Focused Culture within the Information Technology department. Manages multiple competing objectives, prioritizes, and communicates complex technical information in clear and unambiguous terms to management and end user personnel. Assures strict adherence to budget management and guidelines of both the Information Technology department and the institution. May participate in the development and tracking of project budgets. Performs additional job-related functions as detailed by immediate supervisor. This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship/ we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position.
