About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:00 - 14:30 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active RN license Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must-Have: 5+ years of CVOR experience Main OR experience and willingness to float to the main OR Description: This is a Level II Trauma Center position. The unit has a total of 12 surgical suites and operates 2 CVORs. Day shift staffing includes 4 RNs and 4 CSTs. Night shift staffing operates on-call. Patient ratios are 1:1. The unit uses EMR - Meditech for documentation. Typical procedures performed include CABG and valve replacements, as well as thoracic and vascular surgeries. Candidates should be flexible and able to work as part of a team. There is a variable call schedule, and travelers are expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
