Scope of Work & Responsibilities

Helping Hands Houston TX LLC is looking for experienced and dedicated care specialists to work in a small group home setting catering to children and adolescents between the ages of 7 to 17 with behavioral and emotional needs. Personnel will fulfill the following duties:

• Therapeutic Support: Assist with self-help skills training and therapeutic treatments for residents with behavioral or intellectual needs.
• Daily Living Operations: Manage household tasks including cooking, cleaning, laundry, and maintaining sanitary kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Health and Wellness: Administer medications as directed and provide assistance with daily living activities and personal care to ensure residents' well-being.
• Supervision & Safety: Maintain continuous supervision to ensure the residents' care, welfare, safety, and security.
• Activities & Development: Assist in planning and executing group, educational, and recreational activities (including creative play, homework, and community events).
• Transportation: Provide safe transportation for residents to appointments and planned activities using company vehicles.
• Behavioral Management: Teach residents strategies to manage behavior and support their progression toward self-control.
• Communication: Maintain professional, effective communication with management, site personnel, residents, and external caseworkers or agencies.
• Compliance & Records: Accurately maintain all required facility documentation and complete a minimum of 50 hours of annual in-service childcare training.

Skills and Qualifications

Personnel must meet the following facility criteria:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience in a residential childcare, RTC, GRO, foster, or group home setting.
• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Licensing: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (maximum of one moving violation).
• Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid training preferred.
• Vetting: Must pass a clear drug screening and comprehensive background check.
• Legal Status: Valid US work authorization or citizenship.
• Language:  Bilingual not required but preferred

Compensation & Onboarding

• Rate: $17.00 per hour starting pay for first 90 days. Up to $21.00 per hour based on experience.
• Yearly Performance / Retention Bonus: Up to $1,500 paid out July 1st the following service year
