Quality Technician II

Position Title: Quality Technician II

Wage: $20.50 per hour

Shift: 3rd

Hours: 6:00pm-6:30am rotating (3/4 schedule)

QPS Employment Group has a great Quality Technician II position available at a company in the Wright City, MO area. This is a 3rd shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Quality Technician II Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Perform chemical and physical analysis on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods.

- Evaluate products against specifications and determine acceptability.

- Conduct audits on finished products and packaging to ensure quality and compliance.

- Perform routine production line checks at scheduled intervals.

- Investigate out-of-specification results and recommend corrective actions.

- Record, document, and maintain accurate test results and quality records.

- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, SQF, and food safety standards.

- Ensure compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

- Stop production when food safety or quality concerns arise and notify leadership immediately.

- Support sanitation and hygiene standards within the lab and production areas.

- Enter and manage data in SAP, including batch confirmations and process orders.

- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation for all testing and production activities.

- Generate and communicate reports to leadership as needed.

- Perform BBSO audits and provide feedback to employees.

- Operate and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accurate testing results.

- Perform routine maintenance and verification of testing tools and instruments.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laboratory environment.

- Work closely with production, operations, and quality teams to resolve issues.

- Communicate quality concerns clearly and professionally across all levels.

- Support training and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Quality Technician II Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.

- 1-3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

- Laboratory experience required.

- Knowledge of food safety and quality standards (GMP, HACCP, SQF) preferred.

- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and SAP systems preferred.

- Ability to read and understand metric measurements.

- Experience using measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Effective communication and teamwork.

- Adaptability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- High level of integrity and commitment to quality standards.

- Fast-paced manufacturing and laboratory environment.

- Exposure to noise, temperature changes, and moving equipment (lab is temperature-controlled).

- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform repetitive tasks.

- Requires attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

- Flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and overtime as needed.
