Ludico is an exciting new restaurant concept from Tribeca Hospitality Group, bringing together fresh, vibrant, and transportive European flavors in an elevated yet approachable dining experience.

We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented Polishers to join our opening team. This essential role supports the front-of-house operation by ensuring all glassware, flatware, plates, and service pieces are polished to the highest standards before every service.

The ideal candidate takes pride in precision, organization, and cleanliness while working efficiently in a fast-paced fine dining environment. Their attention to detail helps create the polished dining experience our guests expect.

Position Summary

The Polisher is responsible for maintaining the presentation and quality of all service ware used throughout the restaurant. This position works closely with the dishwashing and front-of-house teams to ensure all glassware, silverware, china, and specialty serving pieces are polished, inspected, organized, and ready for service.

Responsibilities

Service Ware Preparation

• Polish and inspect all glassware, flatware, china, and serving pieces before service.
• Remove fingerprints, water spots, smudges, and imperfections to ensure a flawless presentation.
• Inspect all items for chips, cracks, scratches, and defects before placing them into service.
• Organize polished items according to restaurant standards and service needs.
• Maintain proper stock levels of polished service ware throughout each shift.

Operational Support

• Work closely with the stewarding, dishwashing, and front-of-house teams to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Restock service stations with polished glassware, silverware, and china as needed.
• Assist with polishing specialty serving pieces, wine decanters, and other restaurant equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient polishing station.
• Complete opening, closing, and side work assignments as directed by management.
• Report damaged or broken service ware promptly.

Teamwork & Standards

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail.
• Support the front-of-house team during busy service periods when needed.
• Follow all company policies, sanitation procedures, and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with all departments to ensure seamless restaurant operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fine dining restaurant, luxury hotel, or hospitality environment preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must have the ability to frequently move throughout multiple levels of the restaurant, including going up and down stairs.
