RN ICU

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU Night shift is responsible for delivering expert nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced intensive care environment. This role involves continuous patient monitoring, administering medications, performing clinical assessments, and collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. The RN must maintain strong communication skills and demonstrate proficiency in critical care nursing practices, including telemetry monitoring. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU during night shifts.
• Perform continuous patient assessments and monitor vital signs using telemetry equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
• Document patient care activities accurately in medical records.
• Maintain a safe and clean patient care environment adhering to hospital protocols.

• Current and active Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado.
• Minimum of two years' experience in critical care nursing preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required upon hire.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required within 3 months of hire.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification required within 6 months if assignment extends to 6 months.

• Telemetry experience is preferred.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred.

• Must be licensed to practice nursing in Colorado.
• Ability to work night shifts in an ICU setting.
• Compliance with hospital policies and continuing education requirements.

• Night shift schedule in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Shift assignments based on hospital staffing needs.
