Summary To deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies and in accordance with ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: 1 year of inpatient hospital experience Medical Surgery experience as a registered nurse Good customer service for patient interaction. This is a Contract or a Time limited position for a minimum of 13 weeks contract and extendable with notice. This position will pay $65.00 per hour with no benefits. We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse for our 4 North unit. This 24 bed unit provides a dynamic working environment that cares for hematology, chemotherapy and clinical trials protocol oncology patients. Our nursing staff provides knowledgeable and skilled care within a unique interdisciplinary team. We offer chemotherapy certification classes and quarterly education workshops. We are looking for a RN with oncology experience. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: 1 year of inpatient hospital experience Medical Surgery experience as a registered nurse Good customer service for patient interaction Responsibilities Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families. Integrates patient and family centered care and the quality caring factors into practice. Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs of the patient. Participates in Evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice. Participates in professional development based on the nursing professionals standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations. Credentials and Qualifications BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least one year of relevant experience or ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 1 year of relevant experience FL RN License BCLS Certification An applicant for this position, who will be or is seeking Florida licensure by endorsement, must not have any National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) reports, unless the applicant has successfully appealed to have their name removed from the NPDB.
