Job Title: Fiber Optic Assembler Job Description

Join a precision-focused manufacturing team in Caldwell, Idaho, assembling custom fiber optic bundles and connector components. In this role, you will work with small parts, hand tools, and microscopes to build high-quality fiber optic cable assemblies while following detailed work instructions and strict quality standards. You will contribute directly to the production of industry-leading fiber optic solutions in a clean, controlled, and team-oriented environment.

• Assemble custom fiber optic bundles and connector assemblies according to detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Put together plastic connector housings, terminals, pins, and locking components for fiber optic cables with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
• Use hand tools and power tools to perform mechanical and electronic assembly tasks involving small components.
• Operate microscopes and scopes to inspect product surfaces and verify the quality of assemblies.
• Follow blueprint reading and wiring schematics to ensure assemblies meet design and technical specifications.
• Perform small parts assembly and intricate work that requires strong focus and attention to detail.
• Conduct visual inspections and quality checks on completed assemblies, identifying and addressing any defects.
• Multitask by working on multiple assemblies at a time, including managing work while resin or epoxy is setting.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations in a cleanroom or controlled environment, adhering to all safety and cleanliness guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members in a production environment to meet daily output goals and support continuous improvement.
• Follow all company procedures and quality standards to ensure reliable, high-performing fiber optic products.
• Demonstrate dependability by consistently showing up on time, meeting productivity expectations, and completing assigned tasks.
• Learn and apply new assembly techniques, tools, and processes as needed to support evolving product and production requirements.

• Previous assembly experience in manufacturing, production, or other hands-on environments requiring precision and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform intricate work with small components and small parts assembly.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for mechanical and electronic assembly.
• Experience working with microscopes or scopes for detailed inspection of products.
• Strong focus and concentration to perform repetitive, precision-based tasks accurately.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Capability to multitask and work on multiple assemblies at the same time.
• Dependable work habits, including reliability and consistency in attendance and performance.
• Comfort working in a cleanroom or clean, controlled production environment.
• Basic understanding of mechanical assembly and general labor tasks.

• Experience in small parts assembly within fiber optics, electronics, or medical device manufacturing.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting wiring schematics.
• Background in electronic assembly, wiring harnesses, or electrical wiring.
• Exposure to soldering and inspection processes in a production setting.
• Ability to work with resin or epoxy as part of the assembly process.
• Comfort working with measuring equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Eagerness to learn new skills and grow within a long-term manufacturing career.

The assembler team works in a clean, well-lit, temperature-controlled facility with minimal noise, creating a comfortable and focused setting for precision work. Assemblers follow established SOPs to build fiber optic products and use microscopes to inspect product surfaces and verify quality. The environment supports cleanroom practices, emphasizing organization, cleanliness, and adherence to safety and quality procedures. Work is performed at individual stations within a collaborative production area, using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to complete detailed assembly tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Caldwell, ID.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
