In this role, you'll coordinate and execute engineering projects ranging from Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) to Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) and Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) projects. This is your chance to contribute to groundbreaking projects and work with a team that values creativity, innovation, and excellence.**How you'll make an impact*** Provide cost effective quality solutions and delivering within budget and contract.* Ensuring adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks.* Perform engineering in areas such as structural design, building design, foundation design, and material specifications as it applies to High-voltage Substation and FACTS applications.* Resolve design issues and ensure compliance with national and local codes.* Develop design criteria and design document deliverables for projects.* Perform technical reviews of design packages and support construction and field engineering.**Your background*** Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.* Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.* Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil and/or structural engineering.* Proficiency in engineering design software and tools such as RISA 3D, RISA Foundation, L-Pile, ENERCALC, Hilti PROFIS, AutoCAD, Revit, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.* Strong knowledge of applicable standards and codes such as AISC, ACI, ASCE-7, and IBC.* Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.**More about us**We pride ourselves on offering a holistic range of competitive benefits to support your financial, physical, and mental wellbeing and personal development.
