Job Description

The Front End Loader Operator loads materials into production areas, supports continuous operation of machinery, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and efficient manufacturing floor. This role combines housekeeping, material handling, and monitoring production screens to ensure products move smoothly through the machines. You will perform repetitive tasks, use basic math in real time, and have opportunities to observe experienced operators, cross-train, and grow into higher-level operator positions.

Responsibilities

• Load a variety of materials into production processing areas safely and efficiently.

• Monitor production screens and respond promptly to alarms, indicators, or changes in operating conditions.

• Ensure products move smoothly through the machines and address minor issues to prevent interruptions.

• Perform general housekeeping duties to keep the production floor clean, organized, and free of hazards.

• Support the general upkeep of the production floor, including clearing debris and maintaining workstations.

• Follow established safety procedures and use equipment and tools according to company guidelines.

• Work collaboratively with other operators and team members to meet production goals.

• Perform repetitive tasks with consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail.

• Use basic math skills on the fly to verify counts, measurements, or production data as needed.

• Observe experienced operators to learn equipment operation and best practices.

• Participate in cross-training to gain skills on additional machines and processes.

• Assist with operating heavy equipment such as front-end loaders and forklifts, where qualified and required.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about issues, progress, and safety concerns.

• Adapt to rotating day and night shifts and maintain reliability and punctuality for all scheduled shifts.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production, manufacturing, general labor, or construction environments.

• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, typically 8–12-hour shifts.

• Comfort performing repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

• Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately during daily tasks.

• Experience working in a team-focused environment and collaborating with others.

• Proven reliability and loyalty to previous employers, demonstrated through references and job tenure.

• Willingness and ability to work rotating day and night shifts on a 12-hour schedule.

• Experience operating heavy equipment such as front-end loaders or forklifts, or a strong interest in learning.

• Ability to work safely in a large manufacturing facility that is not temperature regulated.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Back ground in general production or general labor roles in industrial or construction settings.

• Experience operating front-end loaders, forklifts, or other heavy equipment.

• Previous work in long-shift environments with 12-hour schedules.

• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing tasks, schedules, and production needs.

• Interest in cross-training and advancing into higher-level operator roles.

Work Environment

You will work in a large manufacturing facility that is not temperature regulated, so conditions can vary with the seasons. The environment is highly team oriented and safety focused, with a strong emphasis on following procedures and maintaining a clean, orderly production floor. The schedule requires flexibility to work both day and night shifts on a rotating basis: training occurs on day shift for approximately one month, followed by a standard rotation where you work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM for part of the month and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM for the other part. The pattern typically follows 4 days on, 4 days off, then 4 days on, 4 days off, alternating between day and night schedules. You will spend most of your time on your feet, working around production machinery, heavy equipment, and material handling operations in a busy industrial setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ALBUQUERQUE, NM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
