Job Overview The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound exams according to physician orders. Responsibilities Provide correct patient identification, technique, education, instruction, and transportation as necessary. Operate all imaging and Doppler/duplex equipment with proper technique. Serve as preceptor for imaging procedures. Qualifications Must be able to scan General, OB, and Vascular studies. Exceptional communication and patient care skills. Aptitude toward the team philosophy. Ability to work independently without direct supervision. Basic computer skills. Sterile procedure knowledge. High School Diploma or GED required. Current ARDMS Certification in Ultrasound. If hired without a license, ARDMS or ARRT(S) or CCI certification required within 24 months of starting the position.
