At Puttery, every visit is a reason to celebrate.Job PurposeThe role of Bar Back is to assist the Bartender in the execution of all bar duties and to be the go to person for every need to set the bar for success.ResponsibilitiesStock, set, and replenish bar needs with professionalism, urgency, and accuracyCoordinate efforts together with bartenders, service staff, and supervisors/managementDeliver all needed items to ensure bar is stocked for success, including but not limited to restocking bottles, ice, changing kegs, etc.Maintain cleanliness around the bar and assist in established opening and closing proceduresMaintain stock and cleanliness of bar glasswarePerform other duties as requested by managementQualificationsMust be 21 years of age or olderMust be friendly, outgoing, and able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environmentMust be able to regularly lift and or move up to 30 pounds and use force up to 50 poundsActive listening and communication skillsWork schedule varies and will include working on days, nights, holidays, and weekends and requires standing and/or walking for extended periods both indoors and outdoorsOrganizational, teamwork, and multi-tasking skills a must!Six months (or more) experience in some aspect of the food and beverage industry preferred but not requiredWorking ConditionsFast-paced, high-energy bar and entertainment environmentFrequent standing, walking, and moving for extended periods throughout shiftsWork includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business levelsIndoor and outdoor work environments with varying temperatures and noise levelsRegular lifting and carrying of items up to 30 lbs., with occasional exertion up to 50 lbs.Constant interaction with bartenders, servers, and guests in busy service settingsRequires focus, adaptability, and teamwork under pressurePuttery is committed to equal opportunity in the workplace, preventing discrimination and harassment, including sexual misconduct, based on legally protected diversity characteristics (such as race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, family status, citizenship, genetic information and veteran status) in its application and hiring processes and in its employment decisions.
