Description SUMMIT Appliance ( a Division of Felix Storch, Inc. is a 57-year-old private business, located in the Bronx, NY, Edison, NJ and Freehold, NJ. We are a manufacturer and distributor of major appliances, including vaccine, healthcare and life science refrigeration. For a more complete company history candidates are encouraged to visit our website, . We seek a box truck driver to make local and regional deliveries out of our Edison, NJ facility. This position is a Monday thorugh friday with no weekends and no overnights.Some paid overtime may be required. You will be driving a 24 foot straight truck with a liftgate . Truck Driver Responsibilities Drivers are responsible for loading, unloading and delivering major household appliances (Appliances include, but not limited to, refrigerators, ranges, chest freezers and more) Pick up transfer merchandise at NY warehouse and other locations. Assist the warehouse team with the loading trucks for same day. Collect COD's as directed. Check merchandise against bills of lading for accuracy. Fill out log books and comply with DOT regulations at all times. Daily inspection of vehicle for safety. Attend driver training classes as offered by the company. Stay current on motor vehicle rules and regulations. Keep vehicle clean and well maintained. Report any safety or vehicle deficiencies to management. Other relater duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements High school graduate CDL Class A or B required with current medical card 3 years driving Class A or B vehicles Benefits Medical/Dental insurance (some employee contribution is required) Company paid vision and life insurance.
