Job Overview A law firm seeks a State and Local Tax Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join their team in San Francisco, California. The successful candidate will work with a national team serving a diverse range of Fortune 100 clients, contributing to a collaborative and dynamic work environment. Duties Engage in state and local tax planning, compliance, and policy matters. Handle litigation and controversy issues related to state and local taxes. Provide client service and assume responsibility for active practice matters. Requirements 3–6 years of experience in a law or accounting firm. Proficiency in income, franchise, sales and use, excise, and property taxes. Strong academic background with excellent writing and communication skills. Self‑motivated with a strong interest in joining a collaborative team. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree required. Certifications Bar admission in the state of California preferred. Skills Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment. Strong client‑service orientation.
