Job Title & Location Title: General Manager Location: Café Location Reports To: District Manager Classification: Salary Exempt Work Week: 50 – 55+ hours per week (flexible). Must be willing to work starting at 5 a.m. or until midnight as required. Job Summary The primary focus of this position is to inspire a healthy lifestyle by delivering excellent food and smoothies with tropical flair. The manager leads and develops the team while driving sales, controlling expenses (food, labor, inventory), and maintaining high standards of service and safety. Duties / Responsibilities Develop and promote team members, tracking career progress under your leadership. Serve in any position when needed, ensuring full coverage. Recruit, interview, hire, and train new crew members, managers, and assistant managers. Drive the shift by setting daily goals and providing clear direction. Maintain employee schedules and fill in when necessary. Coach crew leaders and crew members during shifts to uphold brand standards. Manage daily operations: product preparation, quality service, and cleaning duties. Ensure sanitation practices are followed for food handling. Conduct weekly inventory reviews, reconciling reports and identifying issues. Manage ordering, inventory, and invoice reconciliation for all products. Hit sales goals, manage labor, and control inventory using the Micros MyInventory program. Handle cash management: daily safe count, cash drawer reconciliation, and shortage investigation. Submit payroll hours by the bi‑weekly deadline so all crew members are paid accurately. Perform additional tasks necessary for café operation. Attend weekly conference calls, training sessions, and area meetings. Review and understand profit and loss statements. Work a varied schedule, including weekends, holidays, late evenings, and early mornings. Required Skills / Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication. Excellent management and supervisory skills. Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Proficiency with Excel and Word, and ability to learn additional software. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions. Physical Requirements Frequent walking, standing, bending, and overhead reaching. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Education & Experience High school diploma. Two or more years of restaurant experience, including progressive supervisory experience.
