Golf Shop AttendantThe Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Golf Pro Shop. The candidate should possess a knowledge of the game of golf and deliver excellent customer service. The candidate needs to have excellent organizational and communication skills and must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. S/he must be self-motivated, show initiative and be able to work both independently and as a team.Working at Tamarack is an incredibly rewarding and magical experience. We celebrate and respect our diverse team members and guests.Essential Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to):Opening and closing the Pro ShopAccounting for money that passes through Golf Pro ShopPreparing daily deposits and reportsProviding exemplary customer service which includes but is not limited to greeting members and public, answering the phone, fielding and directing inquiriesSales/processing of memberships, green fees, cart rentals, and inventory along with recording of all such sales as directedWorking with Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, Assistant Golf Professional and Retail/Merchandiser Director to maintain sufficient inventory and suppliesBooking and checking tee times, navigating the tee sheet point of sale systemRegistering golfers for lessons/clinics and tournamentsAssisting with tournament and event organizationCommunicating with grounds staff of any tournament preparation and course closuresRotating and cleaning golf cartsDaily cleaning and maintenance of Pro ShopMaintain dress codeNotify Director of Golf and Assistant Golf Professional of any concerns or problemsRequirementsFlexible work availability including weekends and holidaysAbility to stand for long periods of timeAbility to lift and carry up to 70 poundsDetail OrientedMust enjoy working and interacting with the publicMaintain positive working attitude and follow TamFam valuesEducation and/or ExperiencePrior work experience with a golf course, seasonal business and/or the hospitality industry is highly preferred. Will train.Language SkillsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.Work EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
