Financial Analyst

Virjee Consulting is looking for a Healthcare Practice Financial Analyst to help private practice owners better understand their numbers, improve profitability, and make smarter business decisions. We work with dentists, veterinarians, physicians, and other healthcare practice owners who need more than basic accounting and tax preparation. They need help understanding cash flow, overhead, profitability, provider performance, practice purchases, and how to build a more valuable business . Why This Role Is Exciting This is not a traditional accounting role where you only prepare reports. You will be part of a growing advisory department that helps healthcare practice owners make real business decisions. CFO-style client conversations Practice profitability analysis Add-provider analysis Cash flow planning EBITDA improvement Practice value and exit-readiness planning As the department grows, this role can grow into a Senior Analyst, Advisory Manager, or Director-level role leading a team and helping build the future of our consulting services. What You’ll Do Prepare for and lead financial review calls with healthcare practice owners. Analyze financial statements, cash flow, overhead, profitability, and practice KPIs. Help clients understand what is working, what is not working, and where they need to improve. Build simple financial models for practice purchases, add-provider decisions, debt service, and profitability. Support consulting projects such as practice purchase reviews, overhead analysis, cash flow planning, and exit-readiness projects. Prepare clear, client-friendly summaries and action items after meetings. Work with our tax advisors, bookkeeping team, and leadership team to identify planning opportunities for clients. Help improve our templates, dashboards, reports, and advisory process as the service line grows. What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who is analytical, business-minded, and comfortable explaining financial information in plain English. You do not need to be a CPA, but you do need to understand financial statements, profitability, cash flow, and how to turn numbers into useful business advice. Ideal Background This role may be a strong fit if you have experience as a: FP&A Analyst DSO or MSO Analyst Veterinary group analyst Controller or Accounting Manager Practice Management Consultant M&A or transaction support analyst Business analyst for a multi-location service business Experience in healthcare, dental, veterinary, private practice, or multi-location service businesses is a plus. Skills Needed Strong financial analysis skills Ability to read and interpret P&Ls and balance sheets Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills Ability to build simple financial models Strong written and verbal communication Ability to explain numbers clearly to business owners Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Comfortable working directly with clients Interested in business strategy, growth, and consulting This role is being created as part of a growing advisory and consulting department. A possible career path may include: Healthcare Practice Financial Analyst: Analyze client financials, support CFO calls, build models, and assist with consulting projects. Senior Healthcare Practice Analyst: Lead more complex client calls, own larger consulting projects, improve reporting templates, and train junior analysts. Advisory Manager: Manage client relationships, oversee analysts, lead advisory delivery, and help develop new consulting services. Director of Advisory / CFO Services: Lead the advisory department, manage service line profitability, develop the team, and help shape the firm’s consulting strategy.
