Inventory Management Specialist

Job Title
Job duties involve a multi-grade career ladder. At the GS 2010 7 grade level, you will perform assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence. You will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of GS 2010 9. Promotion is at the discretion of the supervisor and is contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of higher-level work and availability of funds.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Inventory Management and Control: Responsible for the management and control of an assigned class of expendable material; serves as the point of contact for the coordination of material support and resolution of logistic problems; conducts forecasting and quantitative analysis; conducts spot checks; and complies with special requirements for firearms, ammunition, and sensitive equipment
- Returns, Recalls, and Reutilization: Implements federal and agency programs for the return and reutilization of medical supplies; coordinates disposal of surplus or excess supplies; makes emergent procurement decisions; and participates in root cause analysis process
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
