Certified Nursing Assistant - Nights Compensation: $20.05 - $22.27 / hour plus $2,000 bonus for full‑time employment. Department: Medical About the Role The Certified Nursing Assistant provides basic and specialized nursing care under the supervision of licensed nurses in a correctional setting. The role may involve floating between medical‑surgical and psychiatric patient care areas to ensure adequate staffing. Key Responsibilities Provides basic nursing care to patients, including assistance with ADLs, vital sign measurement, and accurate documentation of patient data. Maintains professional behavior and prioritizes workflow to ensure completion of all assigned duties while adhering to policies, procedures, and patient safety and confidentiality standards. Collaborates with other members of the health care team, participates in staff meetings and training sessions, and notifies the licensed nurse of any patient concerns or issues. Demonstrates basic knowledge of nursing procedures and uses medical supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and cleaning. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervising nurse, including assisting with patient care in different units and participating in the orientation of new staff members. Qualifications & Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a training course for Nursing Assistants. Experience & Skills: Knowledge of basic patient care methods, procedures, and techniques. Ability to handle a variety of routine tasks and maintain orderly workflow. Must pass a background check and drug screen. Must maintain clearance for a Public Trust Position, if applicable. Excellent verbal and written communication in English. Proficiency with computers and common software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, database systems). Licenses/Certifications: Current certification in the state of practice.
