Family Medicine Faculty Physician

Our organization is recognized nationally for its excellence in community family medicine education, and we are excited to invite applications for a Family Medicine Faculty Physician to join our core faculty team. This residency program is proudly affiliated with both the Medical University of South Carolina and the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine - Carolinas Campus.

Position Highlights

Welcoming 12 Family Medicine residents each year
First program in the state to achieve ACGME Osteopathic Recognition
Offers a balanced mix of outpatient and inpatient experiences, with around 6 weeks of inpatient care annually
Largest family medicine residency program in the state
Supportive and collaborative faculty environment

Candidate Requirements

The ideal applicant should be eligible for a South Carolina medical license and possess board certification in Family Medicine. A passion for teaching and a background in practical experience or a faculty development fellowship are essential. While prior academic teaching experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Additional training in POCUS or Sports Medicine is advantageous, and while obstetrical care is encouraged, it is not a requirement.
