Audition Details Date: Friday, May 15th, 2026 Check-in: 11:30 AM Time: 12:00 PM Location: Hubbs Research Institute, 2595 Ingraham St, San Diego, CA 92109 What to Wear: Comfortable, work‑appropriate clothing (shorts, sweatpants, or a plain shirt with minimal/no designs). Sneakers that allow for movement. What to Bring: A resume & headshot (if you have one). What You Get to Do Embodies the childlike innocence, enthusiasm, and mannerisms of the characters. Energize guests by representing the park with a positive attitude and high level of energy. Perform as Costume Character, Dancer, Character Escort, and/or Puppeteer, both in the park and out‑of‑park as assigned. Appear in stage shows, parades, meet‑and‑greet, and special events as required. Serve as an expert performer for multiple assigned characters, with the ability to perform all characters in your height range. Assist with character training and rehearsals, and adapt to performance feedback and critique. Execute pre and post show backstage duties and support the costuming team with laundry and maintenance projects. Maintain safety and procedural directions, stage direction, and show content as directed by leadership. Maintain a positive and flexible attitude and interact positively with guests, employees, and others. Perform other duties as assigned. What It Takes to Succeed Personable and animated with a fun, outgoing personality. Open to performance feedback and can adapt accordingly. Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions and temperature extremes while performing in a character costume. Demonstrated strong costume and escorting skills. At least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds. Availability to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours (opening, closing, after‑hour rehearsals). Ability to move and dance in full costume at a standard consistent with creative intent. Ability to maintain character integrity. Willingness to participate in regular internal performance assessments. Preferred: prior costume character and/or dance experience; guest experience in a high‑volume capacity; experience in dance, theater, athletics, or other performance arts. Strong verbal communication skills. Can stand, walk and/or sit for prolonged periods. Audition requirements may include dance, movement, script memorization, role playing, comedic improvisation, and miming as necessary. Height Requirements ABBY CADABBY: 4'9"–5'1"

Availability Must have 3 days of unrestricted availability to include at least 1 weekend day during the non‑peak seasons. Must have 4 days of unrestricted availability to include at least 1 weekend day during the peak seasons. Available to work opening, closing, night and weekend shifts, and holidays. Be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs. Physical Requirements Lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying up to 50 lbs. Extensive walking, standing and climbing during the work shift. Perform kneeling, squatting, bending floor‑to‑waist/waist‑to‑overhead and reaching overhead. Fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools, keyboard, writing). Work in varying weather, extreme heat, and cold. May be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and temperature extremes. Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals. Work a flexible schedule based on business need. Must attend an in‑person audition at the pre‑determined time.
