Position Fire Protection/Mechanical Engineer We are seeking a highly motivated and talented engineer to join our team. This critical role involves researching, developing, and producing mechanical construction drawings while applying expertise in industry concepts, practices, and procedures, with potential consultation on complex projects. Perform system calculations, life‑cycle cost analysis, and equipment selections. Develop construction documents and job‑specific specifications. Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction inspections. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients. Serve as Engineer of Record and mentor junior staff. Ensure compliance with codes such as NFPA, ASHRAE, and IBC. High proficiency in computer‑aided design tools and software. Qualifications Healthcare Experience is required Salary Range: $120,000 – $180,000 Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (ABET‑accredited) Experience: 8+ years as a licensed professional engineer Computer Skills: Revit, AutoCAD, MEP, MS Office Suite, Trace 3D Travel: up to 20% depending on project Licenses/Certifications: Current PE License (required) NCEES Registration Licensed in at least one U.S. state Certified Plumbing Designer (Preferred) LEED, Green Globes, or other sustainability credentials (Preferred) Apogee does not discriminate in employment based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, parental status, military service, or other non‑merit factors.
