Registered Nurse Oncology

Role Overview Provide specialized nursing care in an oncology setting, including administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, monitoring patient conditions, documenting orders, and coordinating discharge planning. Ensure safe handling of cytotoxic agents and manage side effects, allergic reactions, and technology troubleshooting related to infusion lines and pumps. Key Responsibilities Implement and monitor patient care plans Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care and communicate effectively Assess and manage side effects and hypersensitivity reactions Handle cytotoxic agents safely and troubleshoot infusion devices Draw blood samples and manage vascular access devices Qualifications & Skills Licensed Registered Nurse with Indiana Board of Nursing Certification in Chemotherapy from Oncology Nursing Society within 6 months BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire Diploma from an accredited nursing school or equivalent licensure Additional Information The role offers comprehensive health benefits, retirement plans, professional development, emotional support resources, family benefits, and other perks.
