Laboratory Scientist Valparaiso Program: 24 Hours Per Week (AM)

Our network includes 32 hospitals and multiple physician offices. What will you do? This individual is responsible for specimen processing, test performance and reporting test results. Testing performed will include waived, moderate and high complexity tests as authorized by the Director. He/she will report results of all tests performed according to established procedures. In addition, this individual will participate fully in all quality control procedures and comply with quality assurance and quality management standards within the department as outlined by the department, JCAHO, CAP, CLIA and other applicable agencies. He/she will perform specimen collection as necessary. Specimen processing, test performance and reporting test results, including waived, moderate and high complexity tests as authorized by the Director. Reporting results according to established procedures and participating in quality control procedures. Compliance with quality assurance and quality management standards per department guidelines and applicable agencies (JCAHO, CAP, CLIA, etc.). Perform specimen collection as necessary. What we are looking for Associate or bachelor’s degree in a lab science and graduation from an accredited medical lab technician or medical technologist program is required.
