Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Our organization, a prominent multi-specialty medical group in the Metropolitan Phoenix area, is currently seeking a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon to join our team.
The Surgery Department supports the Valleywise Health System at our academic community hospital, which features 270 beds and is recognized as an ACS and State of Arizona Level I Adult Trauma and Level I Burn Center. As an urban teaching facility, we offer a fully accredited ACGME General Surgery Residency, and our Plastic Surgery Division welcomes resident rotators from the Mayo Clinic Plastic Surgery Residency. Additionally, we are a faculty partner with Creighton University Medical School, enhancing our educational initiatives. Our surgeons operate in a newly opened hospital facility that commenced operations in 2024.
The ideal candidate will have completed a residency in Plastic Surgery and hold board certification or be board eligible. Experience in an academic setting is preferred. The candidate should be adept at managing a diverse range of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery cases, with a strong emphasis on Maxillofacial Trauma and Microvascular surgery.
This role involves joining a team of four established plastic surgeons within our division, providing both inpatient and outpatient services in elective and emergency care contexts. Responsibilities will include sharing call coverage and mentoring residents. A collaborative approach to patient management is essential, and there will be opportunities to engage in research initiatives and enhance existing plastic surgery services.
