Training and Development Specialist

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $35.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Dean's Professional Services is seeking an experienced and engaging Training and Development Specialist to support a leading healthcare organization in Houston, TX . This opportunity is ideal for a training professional who enjoys developing employees, facilitating engaging learning experiences, and supporting professional growth across all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

• Research training materials, resources, and instructional methods to support organizational learning needs.

   

• Develop, update, and modify training programs, courses, and curriculum.

   

• Facilitate training through various formats, including virtual and in-person sessions .

   

• Deliver employee development programs for employees at all levels of the organization.

   

• Facilitate programs such as New Employee Orientation, New Leader Orientation, Leadership Development, Consumer Experience, technical training, and other educational programs .

   

• Coordinate training schedules, classes, enrollment, and other administrative activities.

   

• Partner with the Organizational Development & Learning (OD&L) team to support organizational learning initiatives.

   

• Utilize Learning Management Systems to manage and support training activities.

   

• Evaluate training needs and assist with continuous improvement of educational programs.

   

• Communicate effectively with employees, leaders, and stakeholders across the organization.

   

• Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.

   

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 5+ years of equivalent work experience .

   

• Minimum 2 years of experience coordinating and delivering employee development or training programs .

   

• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.

   

• Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) ; Cornerstone OnDemand experience preferred.

   

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

   

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

   

• Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment.

   

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with employees and leaders at all organizational levels.

   

• Ability and willingness to travel between locations as needed ; mileage reimbursement provided.

   

• Healthcare experience is a plus.
