Nurse Manager– CathLab/ IR Position Highlights: Work location: Texas Health FlowerMound; Core work hours: Monday–Friday 8:00a–5:00p Key Responsibilities OPERATIONS Plan, organize, and delegate activities as required for safe, efficient, and effective operation of the unit, including active participation with other hospital departments and leadership to accomplish this purpose. Provide resources and guidance to support the utilization of evidence‑based practice standards. Identify and utilize processes and resources that support optimal delivery of data and information to staff. Facilitate activities that prepare unit, environment, and staff to meet credentialing bodies requirements. Identify key drivers in throughput process, evaluate areas role, and develop solutions to barriers. QUALITY PATIENT CARE OUTCOMES Plan, manage, and facilitate patient care processes to improve performance. Facilitate delivery of quality patient care. Require documentation that meets hospital and credentialing standards/policy/guidelines. Demonstrate a positive supportive role in change process. HUMAN RESOURCES Responsible for staffing based on patient care needs. Responsible for personnel functions including staff, performance reviews, and corrective action. Promote professional growth and development of all employees. Recognize and reward individual and team accomplishments. Promote staff retention. Facilitate new staff orientation. Supports shared decision‑making through the unit‑based council. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION Incorporate customer needs and expectations into daily operations and business planning strategies. Promote team building strategies and principles of group process in interaction with staff. BUDGET Prepare operating and capital budgets for areas of responsibility. Manage approved operating and capital budgets effectively and adjust strategies as needed to meet budget expectations. Identify and evaluate patient care requirements and outcomes based upon patient acuity, system, and budgetary guidelines. PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY Demonstrate involvement in professional organization. Participate in hospital/department/system committees. Stay current with professional activities. Alert appropriate individuals regarding ethical and legal concerns (e.g., Risk Manager, Compliance Officer, Director). Educate, promote and evaluate appropriate use of chain of command by staff. Act as a role model/mentor. Adhere to ANA Code of Ethics. Comply with hospital policies and with Nurse Practice Act. Active in Reach Out THR and other community activities. Make appropriate referrals to Peer Review. Participate in 360‑degree evaluations. Create development plan that identifies and addresses areas of needed growth. Complete reports in a timely manner. Utilize various resources for development. Education Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required. Experience 3 Years of experience as a registered nurse. Previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (e.g., charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor, supervisor). Cath Lab / IR Experience – Strongly Preferred. Supervisory and/or Managerial Experience – Strongly Preferred. Licenses and Certifications RN – Registered Nurse (Upon Hire Required). BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required prior to providing independent patient care; maintained quarterly). Skills Knowledge of industry standards: organization, theory, principles, and research processes. Quality improvement and change management techniques. Financial analysis, budget process and planning. Accreditation and regulatory standards. Strategic planning principles.
