Bridge Design Project Manager (Experienced)

Compensation Compensation commensurate with experience Janssen & Spaans Engineering (JSE) is seeking a Professional Engineer with eight or more years of experience in bridge design. This team-oriented engineer should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering. The below is a summary but not complete listing of work specifications: Job Description Follow JSE, Client, and state DOT standards and guides for developing projects Maintain PE registrations Present complete, final, and accurate bridge design plans Develop project specifications, documentation, estimates, and reports Work with CAD technicians to develop bridge plans Train and supervise professional and senior professional engineers Organize kick-off and ongoing project team meetings Coordinate with subconsultants, disciplines, and other staff members on projects Produce project schedules, rebar lists, quantities, and manhour and cost estimates travel (as required) Additional tasks as assigned Desired Skills and Experience Professional Engineer (Local state P.E. or acquire within 6 months) In-depth knowledge of AASHTO, DOT, ACI, and AISC standards Strong communication skills and ability to work in team environment Department of Transportation project experience (preferred) Proficient with Mathcad, Excel, and Word Previous structural modeling experience Benefits JSE offers an excellent benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
