Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator Largo, FL 33773 (On-Site Career)

We are looking for a Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator who isn't afraid to pick up the phone, request POs from active customers. If you have a tough skin, sharp communication skills, and a knack for keeping inventory running like clockwork, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Active PO Management: Proactively request and follow up on Purchase Orders via phone and email—taking the initiative to get things done without waiting around.

• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels and track usage trends to eliminate supply shortages and prevent excess inventory.

• Supplier & Price Negotiation: Reach out to vendors, request competitive quotes, and negotiate pricing or contract terms to ensure maximum value.

• Order Tracking & Delivery: Create purchase orders, place new stock orders, and track shipments from order to delivery to keep operations moving smoothly.

What We’re Looking For

• Industry Background: Experience in blue-collar sectors (construction, logistics, manufacturing, or trades) is strongly preferred.

• Resilient Demeanor: Tough-skinned, adaptable, and comfortable holding suppliers and stakeholders accountable.

• Great Communicator: Clear, assertive, and direct—especially on the phone.

• Self-Starter: High initiative with a drive to solve problems before they impact operations.

salary: $20 - $21 per hour

Responsibilities

Main duties:

• Requesting Purchase Orders via email & by phone. Someone who takes initiative and is okay calling to request PO rather than waiting. 
• Communication with active customers via email and via phone to request purchase order
• Entering and creation of product purchase order
• Tracking and entering work orders and product submittals into database for completion
• Track stock levels and usage trends to prevent shortages or excess supplies. 
• Contact suppliers, request quotes, and negotiate prices or contract terms. 
• Create purchase orders, place new stock orders, and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
