Coordinator, Workforce Initiatives

ARMA (Austin Regional Manufacturers Association) is a nonprofit trade association focused on strengthening the manufacturing community through advocacy, workforce development, and networking. The Coordinator, Workforce Initiatives will support workforce partnerships, Industry Partner Projects, partner engagement and communications, documentation, reporting, and workforce-related events. This position works closely with ARMA’s Executive Director and regional partners, including employers, school districts, colleges, training providers, Workforce Solutions partners, and the City of Austin. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating workforce partnerships with employers, education institutions, and training providers. Managing follow-up, documentation, scheduling, and communication across multiple initiatives. Serving as the primary coordinator for ARMA’s Industry Projects portfolio. Acting as ARMA’s liaison to TMAC and supporting engagement with member companies. Tracking project milestones, partner commitments, metrics, and recurring workforce reports. Supporting workforce-related events, convenings, and meetings. The ideal candidate: Is exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and dependable. Can manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders with disciplined follow-through. Communicates professionally with employers, educators, and community partners. Is comfortable coordinating complex projects with limited day-to-day supervision. Brings forward solutions, tracks commitments accurately, and helps ensure important details do not fall through the cracks. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred in education, public administration, business, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered. 2–4 years of relevant experience in workforce development, education partnerships, program coordination, project management, employer engagement, nonprofit operations, or a related field. Experience coordinating across employers, education institutions, training providers, public-sector partners, or community organizations is strongly preferred. Salary: Approximately $75,000 annually Work environment: Hybrid, with remote and flexible work options available. Candidates must be locally available for in-person meetings, events, and responsibilities when needed.
