Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) is looking for a Warehouse Worker to work in Fort Stewart, Georgia. The Warehouse Worker performs supply and warehouse functions in support of Army operations. The position is responsible for the receipt, inspection, movement, storage, inventory, issue, delivery, shipment, and turn-in of supplies and equipment while maintaining an efficient and organized warehouse operation.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, inventory, load, unload, segregate, store, issue, deliver, and turn in organizational, direct support, and installation supplies and equipment.
• Verify incoming supplies and equipment against receiving documents and identify and report discrepancies, shortages, obvious damage, or other irregularities.
• Store, stack, palletize, stage, and arrange supplies and equipment in accordance with established storage plans and prescribed warehouse methods.
• Conduct inventories of stored materials and report shortages, discrepancies, deterioration, or damage.
• Remove materials from storage and prepare supplies and equipment for issue, delivery, shipment, or turn-in.
• Load and unload materials using safe and appropriate material-handling practices.
• Operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, powered hand tools, and other authorized material-handling equipment as required.
• Perform warehouse transactions and maintain required documentation using applicable Army logistics systems.
• Utilize the Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP), Global Combat Support SystemArmy (GCSS-A), Logistics Information System (LIS) Installation Support Modules (ISM), or other applicable logistics systems based on work location.
• Support accurate accountability of supplies and equipment by completing required warehouse and logistics-system transactions.
• Maintain organized storage areas and ensure supplies and equipment are properly positioned, accessible, and protected from damage.
• Assist with documentation and processing associated with lost, damaged, or destroyed supplies and equipment.
• Maintain tools and equipment and keep warehouse and work areas clean and safe.
• Safely lift, carry, push, and pull parts, supplies, and loads weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Perform all duties in accordance with Government, Army, safety, and contractual requirements.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety shoes, protective eyewear, hearing protection, and other protective equipment as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as required to support the mission and contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Must possess GCSS-A Certification.
• High School Diploma or GED certificate.
• Valid state-issued driver's license and applicable Government/Army license(s), as required.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess verbal and written fluency in English.
• Must possess working knowledge of the Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP), Global Combat Support SystemArmy (GCSS-A), or Logistics Information System (LIS) Installation Support Modules (ISM), depending on work location.
• Must provide required GCSS-A knowledge or certification documentation for selection, as applicable.
• Must successfully complete the required background security investigation and drug/alcohol screening prior to employment.
• Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) within 90 days of employment.

Desired Qualifications

• Completed prerequisite training for Army Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 92A Automated Logistical Specialist or MOS 92Y Supply Specialist, or equivalent training.

This position is contingent upon contract award and funding. Applicants selected may be offered but cannot begin work until funding has been confirmed
