Imaging Engineer III

Summary The Imaging Engineer III installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and verifies the performance of complex and intricate medical imaging equipment in a specialty area including MRI, CT, Cath‑Labs, Radiation Oncology, and other modalities. The role requires familiarity with all classes of clinical equipment and may perform maintenance outside the specialty area. Responsibilities Technical Service – 40% Perform performance assurance inspections, scheduled maintenance, and operation verification procedures. Repair, install, and calibrate equipment, notify supervisors of status, and coordinate subcontractor activities. Regulatory Compliance – 25% Maintain equipment database accuracy, adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan, ensure documentation completeness, and collaborate with Medical Physicist on radiation outputs. Account Relationship Management – 25% Build and maintain customer relationships, discuss equipment status, and represent TriMedx services positively. Inventory – 10% Inspect inventory, maintain common failure parts inventory, perform incoming inspections, and recommend inventory changes. Skills and Experience Minimum 5 years experience in repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of medical imaging equipment. Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs, bend, kneel, climb, and use hand or foot controls. Travel may be required. Valid driver’s license. Education and Qualifications 2‑year degree in a technical or electronics field or equivalent experience (waived with TRIMEDX Trained Certification or equivalent biomedical certification). Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology preferred. Complex computer skills: interpret error codes, defragment hard drives, replace power supplies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel) and networking applications. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
