Machine Operator-2nd Shift

Position Title: Machine Operator Wage: $20.60/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 2:00pm - 10:30pm Location: Euless, TX 76040 QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Machine Operator at a company in Euless, TX. This is a potential to hire position for 2nd shift. Machine Operator Responsibilities Operate multiple types of fabrication equipment Operate tools according to instructions, specifications and standard charts Place and secure work pieces in proper machine table, holding device or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches Load, operate and manufacture a variety of parts using various manufacturing equipment to make custom parts according to customer orders and instructions written on work orders and blueprints Complete project work as needed involving the assembly of parts that require the use of hand tools, paint accessories and mechanical devices Complete work order paperwork Perform in-process inspection according to standard procedures Maintain count and perform packaging duties as required Participate in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department Perform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubrication Maintain clean and organized work area Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use Make suggestions to improve production and order processing efficiency Assist with training other team members Follow safety rules and quality standards Model ethical and moral behavior consistent with the company values Requirements for Machine Operator High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience Previous experience in the manufacturing industry Excellent math and problem-solving skills Good communication skills Willingness to adapt and open to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of parts Able to perform work independently with minimal defects Able to understand drawings and blueprints Able to use basic measuring instruments Able to follow written and verbal instructions Able to work overtime as needed Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr QPS Employment Group
