Lead Gateway Engineer

Providing senior technical execution for enterprise API gateway engineering, the full-time Lead Gateway Engineer will manage modernization, migration, and configuration activities in a remote capacity, guiding implementation patterns and technical coordination across legacy and target API gateway environments. Key Responsibilities Lead product-specific API gateway engineering for enterprise platforms, including legacy IBM webMethods Configure gateway settings for routes, services, authentication patterns, and environment promotion Support API migration planning, including inventory review, sequencing, and validation evidence Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in API management, integration engineering, or related enterprise systems work 4+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise API gateway products such as Google Apigee or MuleSoft Demonstrated experience implementing secure API gateway capabilities in production environments Experience with API security patterns including OAuth2/OIDC, SAML, and token validation Strong documentation and technical communication skills
