Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse - Location unspecified. This position involves providing specialized nursing care for antepartum, delivery, and postpartum patients within a busy obstetric unit. The role requires competency in fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, and managing a variety of obstetric cases, including preterm labor and twin deliveries.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, every other week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certificatons in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Fetal Monitoring. Must have at least 2 years of L&D experience.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include supporting obstetric and neonatal care, managing fetal and maternal monitoring systems, titrating medications such as Pitocin, and collaborating with in-house anesthesia and neonatal specialists. Candidates should be comfortable with labor and delivery procedures, neonatal stabilization, and responding swiftly to obstetric emergencies. Experience with Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring systems and the ability to follow AWHONN guidelines are required.
