Maintenance Project Manager

Facilities Maintenance and Repair ProjectsAssign work to craft personnel and oversee completion. Initiate contract repair when work cannot be performed by district staff.Work cooperatively with principals and facilities managers to schedule and complete repairs.Estimate cost of repair and maintenance projects including labor, materials, and other related costs.Assists in the preparation and/or prepares the notices and instructions to the bidders/proposers for the publication, in compliance with bid laws.InspectionInspect all district buildings and facilities and initiate repairs as needed.Conduct on-site inspection of completed repair projects. Monitor and inspect contractSafetyProvide training and orientation to all skilled workers in safety procedures and proper use of tools and equipment.Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing. Operate tools and equipment according to established safetyCorrect unsafe conditions in work area and promptly report any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.Follow established procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities.Project ManagementParticipates in the pre-qualification and/or approval process for construction consultants and construction contractorsCoordinates the review of bid documents with the facility, administration, and maintenance personnel for compliance with programs and adopted building standards.Coordinates all construction and maintenance projects on active campuses with contractors, principals, and staff, paying special attention to the health and welfare of the students and staff on campus.OtherRespond to after-hours emergency calls as needed.Assist in the preparation of department budget.Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
