Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in a healthcare facility offering a level III trauma designation. The role involves providing post-operative recovery care for patients across various specialties, including orthopedic, gynecologic, pediatric, vascular, ENT, C-section, GI, and general surgery. The assignment includes working 10-hour daytime shifts, with on-call weekend support on a rotating basis, beginning from 09/21/2026 through 12/21/2026. Job Details: Schedule: 10-hour shifts during daytime hours, with at least 40 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications, and a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ventilators and arterial lines (A-lines). Additional Information: The unit utilizes EPIC for electronic charting and RX Station for medication management. Candidates should be comfortable floating to other units such as SDS or PAT as needed. The work environment supports a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 and involves handling diverse patient populations. The facility is located near popular tourist attractions including Lewes Beach and Rehoboth Beach and Boardwalk, offering a quaint town atmosphere with shopping, outlets, and dining options. On-Call Support: About 4-5 call shifts in a 4-week period, including weekends and holidays. Certifications: Must have ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.
