DSS is looking for an experienced and precise TIG Welder (Tungsten Inert Gas / GTAW) to join our manufacturing team. You will join metal components, read blueprints, and produce clean, high-quality welds on various metals like stainless steel and aluminum.
Pay: $21-$25/hr Depending on experience
Schedule: 6a-4pm, Mon-Thurs
Key Responsibilities
Operate Equipment: Set up, adjust, and operate TIG welding machines safely and efficiently.
Read Blueprints: Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols.
Prepare Materials: Clean and prep metal surfaces (removing rust, dirt, or grease) to ensure strong welds.
Weld Components: Join stainless steel, aluminum, or other alloy parts with high precision and clean bead shapes.
Inspect Quality: Examine finished welds for proper penetration, alignment, and defects.
Maintain Safety: Follow all shop safety rules, wear protective gear, and keep the work area clean.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: 1+ years of professional TIG welding experience or a technical school certification.
Metal Knowledge: Proven ability to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminum in various positions.
Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints and use basic measuring tools.
Testing: Must be able to pass an on-site practical weld test.
Physical Stamina: Good hand-eye coordination, steady hands, and ability to lift up to 35–45 lbs occasionally.
