Patient Care Representative

Job Summary: The Patient Care Representative will contribute to the goals of Shields Health Care Group by providing exceptional customer service with professionalism, efficiency and accuracy. The position includes scheduling hours: Sundays: 11am‑11pm; Saturdays: 12pm‑6/6:30pm; Monday: 4pm‑11pm. Responsibilities Greet patients, collect copay/deductible/co‑insurance, and explain the consent form to be completed. Assist patients with iPad check‑in process, troubleshoot and provide feedback. Identify and utilize language services as needed. Distribute films/CDs while maintaining HIPAA and the Patient Privacy Policy. Collaborate with technologists/radiologists to ensure proper patient flow. Process outgoing/incoming US and inter‑office mail and UPS deliveries. Prepare set up for next day’s appointment schedule and communicate potential issues. Maintain confidentiality of all customer groups; verify and enter necessary information into systems. Respond appropriately to scheduling emergency patient situations. Support Customer Care with machine utilization by filling templates (Utilizing waitlist, 1/1 and 7/4). Answer patient and doctor concerns accurately, efficiently and professionally. Keep management informed of situations and conditions with potential impact on the company or customers. Remain current on policy or procedure changes that modify daily work functions. Maintain copay/petty cash accuracy and make daily bank deposits. Assist with onboarding and training of new employees. Perform other related duties as required. Work to maintain survey return rates in conjunction with company guidelines and goals. Collaborate with multi‑departments to ensure efficiencies. Qualifications High School Diploma (required). Excellent communication skills and computer proficiency (required). Attention to detail and typing accuracy (required). Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision (required). Proven ability to multitask and exceed customer expectations (required). Ability to sit for extended periods while performing data entry and information intake via phone. Can be met with or without reasonable accommodation. Medical office or healthcare administration courses (preferred). Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and insurance requirements (preferred). Pay and Benefits Pay range: $17–$29 per hour plus benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
