Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will work primarily with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) , focusing on those with complex sensory processing needs.

• Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of fine motor, gross motor, visual-motor, and activities of daily living (ADL) skills.
• Sensory Integration: Design and implement specialized sensory diets and therapeutic interventions to address sensory processing disorders (SPD).
• Individualized Planning: Develop and execute person-centered Treatment Plans (IEPs/ISPs) tailored to unique IDD profiles.
• Adaptive Equipment: Recommend, fabricate, or train clients and caregivers on the use of adaptive tools and environmental modifications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Speech Therapists, families, and direct support professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.

• Education: Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA-accredited program.
• Licensure: Active State License to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
• Certification: NBCOT certification required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year working with the IDD population (Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, etc.).
  
  • Demonstrated experience or advanced certification in Sensory Integration (SI) .
• Soft Skills: Exceptional patience, creative problem-solving skills, and a "meet them where they are" philosophy.
