Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Get to Know Your Team: Hillcrest Hospital Henryetta is a 30-bed acute care medical center offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including cardiology, emergency, women’s services, cardiology, general surgery, rehabilitation, withdrawal stabilization and surgery. Calibrate and draw up radiopharmaceutical materials for administration to patients; formulate radiopharmaceutical materials from pre-prepared kits. Calibrate instruments and review calibration data to detect trends indicating instrument malfunction. Calculate data to include results of patient studies and radioactive decay. Evaluate and record images for technical quality. Process computerized image data to include function curves and reconstructed SPECT images. Maintain inventory of supplies assigned to the area; prepare and maintain records concerning radiopharmaceutical receiving, dispensing, and disposal activities. Perform required QA/QC functions, including monitoring the Nuclear Medicine Department with a portable Geiger Counter for possible contamination. Perform nuclear cardiology studies including image acquisition and processing and monitoring patient vital signs. Job Requirements: Graduate of an accredited two-year radiologic technology program with advanced training and certification in Nuclear Medicine. ARRT (NM) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board certification. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Competency in compounds of Nuclear Medicine practice. #J-18808-Ljbffr
