Location: Auburn Hills, MI I Full-Time I Onsite Job Summary: TheCommodityManagerwillplayacrucialroleinoptimizingoursupplychain,managingcosts,andensuringtheavailabilityofkeycommoditiescriticaltowouroperations.Thispositionwillberequestto developandimplementingcommoditystrategies,negotiatingwithsuppliers,andmonitoringmarkettrendstomakeinformeddecisionsthatbenefitthecompany'sbottomline.Theidealcandidateshouldhavestrongbackgroundinprocurement, suppliermanagement, and a deepunderstandingofglobalcommoditymarkets. Typical Duties and Responsibilities: Developandimplementcommoditystrategies tooptimizesourcing,pricing,andsupplierrelationships. Collaboratewithcross-functionalteamstoidentifycommodityneedsandsetprocurementpriorities. Evaluatesupplierperformanceandmanagesupplierrelationshipstoensurequality,reliability,andcost- effectiveness. Conductmarketresearchandanalysistostayinformedaboutglobalcommoditytrends,pricing,andpotentialrisks. Negotiatecontracts,terms,andpricingwithsupplierstosecurefavorableagreementsandcostsavings. Monitorandmanagecommoditypricefluctuationsandtakeproactivemeasures tomitigaterisks. Developandmaintainstrongrelationshipswithkeysuppliersandseekopportunitiesforstrategicpartnerships. Workcloselywithinternalstakeholderstoaligncommodityprocurementwithbusinessobjectives. Analyzeandreportonkeyperformanceindicatorsrelatedtocommoditymanagement. Stayupdatedonindustryregulationsandcompliancerequirementsrelatedtocommodityprocurement. Qualifications: Bachelor'sdegreeinsupplychainmanagement,business,orarelatedfield;Master'sdegreeisaplus. Professionalcertificationsinsupplychainmanagementorprocurement(e.g.,CSCP,CPM,CPSM)preferred. ProvenexperienceasaCommodityManagerorinasimilarprocurementrole. In-depthknowledgeofcommoditymarkets,pricingmechanisms,andsupplychainmanagement. Strongnegotiationandcontractmanagementskills. Excellentanalyticalandproblem-solvingabilities. Proficiencyinusingprocurementsoftwareandtools,especiallyMicrosoftExcel. Abilitytoworkinafast-pacedanddynamicenvironment. Stronginterpersonalandcommunicationskills. Demonstratedabilitytoworkcollaborativelyincross-functionalteams. Specific Expectations: Excellentinternalandexternalcustomerservice. Detail-orientedandhighlyorganized.
