Construction Estimator Opportunity Join our client's team as a Construction Estimator in Columbus, OH, where you'll develop project estimates and contribute to preconstruction and commercial activities. Your expertise will ensure cost certainty and successful project delivery across various outdoor construction and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed project estimates and budgets from drawings, specifications, and conceptual designs. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing. Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Analyze project scope and identify cost risks and opportunities. Prepare bid packages, proposals, and pricing summaries. Support project planning and preconstruction activities. Assist with value engineering and cost optimization efforts. Coordinate with operations and project delivery teams to ensure estimate accuracy. Review plans, specifications, and project documents. Track market pricing and industry cost trends. Qualifications Experience in construction estimating, preconstruction, or cost estimating. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Experience obtaining subcontractor and supplier pricing. Strong understanding of construction methods and materials. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with estimating software, Excel, and construction management tools. Preferred experience in landscaping construction, site development, grading and drainage, hardscape construction, outdoor amenities, commercial construction, and recreation or leisure construction projects.
