Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time adjustment counselor position offers an opportunity to support middle school students in a therapeutic educational setting. The role involves working with grades 6-8 in a program designed to serve 14 students, comprised of both general education and special education learners. This position is a contract role to cover a maternity leave, starting as soon as possible and potentially continuing through the end of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling and support to students in grades 6-8 within a therapeutic program
• Develop and implement individual and group counseling plans
• Collaborate with educational staff to address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to student progress discussions

Qualifications:

• Valid DESE certification as an Adjustment Counselor or Psychologist
• Experience working with middle school students, preferably in therapeutic or special education settings
• Strong understanding of counseling techniques and adolescent development
• Ability to work effectively with students with diverse educational needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Location:

• Position based in North Easton, MA

Schedule and Employment Type:

• Full-time, 32.5 hours per week
• Contract role covering maternity leave, with a flexible end date potentially through the end of the school year
