Chaplain Associate

Job Summary

Offers spiritual and emotional support directly to patients and their families, caregivers, and team members. Responsible for assisting with organization of daily activities as assigned.

Job Duties

• Functions as a member of the team by attending interdisciplinary team conference, support meetings, and other meetings as appropriate

• Assesses each patient, family member, and caregiver for spiritual needs and concerns in consultation with other team members

• Provides direct chaplaincy services (when accepted) to patients, family members, and caregivers of different philosophies and religious perspectives

• Consults, if requested by patient or family, the patient’s clergy of choice and advises them on admission

• Documents all visits and phone calls in the electronic medical record within an appropriate time frame

• Provides consultation, counsel, and support to other team members as appropriate

• Assists with training programs and in-service education as requested

As a Chaplain Associate, you'll provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, caregivers, and team members while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver compassionate care, support individuals from diverse faith traditions, and contribute to a healing environment where every interaction matter.

• Hours: This is a Flex position (per diem, hours as needed). Non-benefits eligible.

• Evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays

• Required Experience: High School Diploma or GED

• 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education Required

• Ordination/ Commissioning or Ecclesiastical Endorsement

1 Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education - Default Issuing Body; Ordination/Commissioning or Ecclesiastical Endorsement - Default Issuing Body
