3568 Gender Rd, Canal Winchester, Ohio, 43110-8007, United States of America Job Overview DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Tech (PCT) to serve patients at our Canal Winchester Dialysis Center in Canal Winchester, OH. Paid training is provided. Responsibilities Shift Hours: MWF 5a-5, 5a-3p, 3-9p; TTS 5-3p and 5-4p (hours may vary with patient census) PCT shifts: Typically 10-12 hours per day, 3-4 days per week, including a minimum of two Saturdays per month and possibly early starts as 4:00 am Work hours during training: Typically 32-40 hours per week Must be flexible to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Direct patient care: Provide safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment to 4‑5 patients at a time Technical duties: Prepare water room, set up bicarb, test water, calibrate tools, monitor patients before, during, and after treatment, record stats, observe patients, and set up hemodialysis machines. Exposure to blood and needles. Physical requirements: Lift 5–50 lbs unassisted; perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, and use full body motion; interact clearly in person or by phone; use computer and peripherals Continuous improvement: Contribute to process improvements for patients and teammates Build long‑term relationships: Educate patients on kidney dialysis topics; patient visits average three times per week Team: Work with technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership under RN supervision Schedule: Shifts may begin as early as 4:00 am and vary by patient needs; specific shift assigned during interview Requirements You are dependable, have a strong work ethic, are eager to learn, handle stressful situations, seek longevity with a company, comfortable with early shifts and long hours on your feet, and enjoy a fast‑paced environment; reliable transportation and willingness to work at other clinics within the sub‑region if needed High school diploma or equivalent Comfortable working around blood and needles Comfortable mixing acid or bicarbonate Flexible and available for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts 12+ hours) while on your feet; wear comfortable shoes Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics in the territory as needed Preferred healthcare experience: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification What You Can Expect Direct Patient Care. Majority of day in one‑to‑one patient care for safe, comfortable, hygienic dialysis treatment Technician Duties. Morning preparations, patient monitoring, and machine setup; Exposure to blood and needles. Physical Requirements. Ability to lift 5 – 50 lbs, perform repetitive motions, interact clearly in person and by phone, use computer and peripherals, and understand position duties Continuous Improvement. Educate patients on kidney dialysis topics; patients typically receive treatment three times per week Team. Work with technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and leadership; supervised by RN Schedule.
