Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT certification, with first-time travelers considered.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds
• X-Ray Tech department supporting Radiology and Cardiology services
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• May image up to 30 patients per day
• Floating between units and sister facilities required
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• Performs routine and complex X-ray exams and assists with fluoroscopy procedures
• Epic EMR experience required
• Uses GE equipment and PACS imaging system

Requirements

• ARRT (R), BLS, and Texas license required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Experience in a fast-paced acute care environment required
• Experience with upper and lower extremity imaging, trauma cases, chest and thorax, spine and pelvis imaging required
• Fluoroscopy studies experience preferred, including arthrography, barium swallow, and enema studies
• LTAC, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Experience with portable/mobile and surgical imaging procedures required
• Strong patient care and communication skills required
• Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, and radiation safety required

Additional Information

• Independently perform routine and complex X-ray exams and assist with fluoroscopy procedures
• Support adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department patient populations
• Perform bedside and portable imaging procedures
• First-time travelers are accepted for this role
• Former Providence employees may return after a 3-month waiting period
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
• Dress code follows facility-specific scrub and uniform guidelines based on licensure and department
